Ingredients

1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 2 tbsp dried)

4 cups water

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

0.5 tsp grated ginger

1 tbsp honey (optional)

Lemon slices and mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.

2. Turn off heat and add lemon balm leaves and ginger.

3. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.

4. Strain the tea into a pitcher.

5. Stir in lemon juice and honey.

6. Pour over ice and garnish with lemon and mint.

7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use dried lemon balm if fresh isn’t available.

Store up to 2 days in the refrigerator.

Drink before meals or at bedtime for best results.
