Ingredients
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flaxmeal
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1/2 frozen banana (optional)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp blue spirulina (optional)
Ice cubes, as needed
Instructions
1. Add chia seeds and almond milk to a blender. Let sit for 5 minutes.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender.
3. Blend until thick and smooth.
4. Pour into a glass or mason jar.
5. Top with extra chia seeds or berries if desired.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
You can swap almond milk for oat or coconut milk.
Add a scoop of protein powder to make it a complete meal.
Let the smoothie chill 5 minutes longer if you prefer it thicker.
