This Cherry Lime Agua Fresca is a refreshing Mexican fruit drink made with sweet cherries, fresh lime juice, and a hint of natural sweetener. It’s light, hydrating, and perfect for hot summer days.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups sweet cherries (pitted, fresh or thawed frozen)

1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 23 limes)

23 tablespoons cane sugar or sweetener of choice

3 cups cold filtered water

Ice (for serving)

Optional: fresh mint, chia seeds, or lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

1. Pit the cherries if using fresh, or thaw if frozen.

2. Juice your limes to get about 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice.

3. In a blender, combine cherries, lime juice, sweetener, and water. Blend until smooth.

4. Optional: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.

5. Serve over ice. Garnish with lime slices, mint, or chia seeds if desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness based on fruit ripeness.

To make it slushy, add 1 cup ice to blender.

Best consumed within 2–3 days.

Add chia seeds for extra hydration and texture.

To make it a cocktail, add 1.5 oz tequila or vodka per serving.
